So we explored some TikTok trending eateries in Yishun, proving that the culinary experiences here are definitely worth the risks associated with the neighbourhood.
1. Twenty Loaf Toasties

Sangwoo Street, a Muslim-owned Korean stall, brings the vibrant energy of Korean street food to the humble coffeeshop. All the staples are here, from Tteokbokki with Cheese, to Beef Bulgogi Bibimbap, and the delightful Fried Prawn Kimbap – all served fresh for an authentic street food experience.
Halal-friendly Korean options can be hard to come by, but Korean-Muslim convert Chef Jung Sang Woo has found himself a niche. In fact, Sangwoo Street isn’t his first time at the rodeo – he also runs fellow Korean joint Meokja at GR.iD, near Dhoby Ghaut.

9. Nummun Thai Kitchen
You’ve heard of Bangkok’s famous crab omelette, but here’s where you can get a version of it right here in Singapore. That’s right, juicy crab chunks hidden within a fluffy egg pillow, available at Nummun Thai Kitchen.
